CHAPTER COMMITTEES
Ways and Means Committee
The Ways and Means Committee identifies and develops fundraising opportunities to support the NOBLE NVC Scholarship Program & other chapter community-focused initiatives. The committee focuses on building strategic partnerships with local businesses and community stakeholders to generate sustainable funding and expand scholarship impact.
Golf Committee
The Golf Committee oversees fundraising efforts through the James E. Childs Annual Golf Tournament, NOBLE NVC’s signature fundraising event. This committee coordinates planning, sponsorships, and execution of the tournament, with all proceeds directly supporting the NOBLE NVC Scholarship Program.
Basketball Committee
The Basketball Committee leads fundraising through an annual regional basketball tournament held in Arlington, Virginia. This event brings together law enforcement agencies from across the region to promote camaraderie, community engagement, and friendly competition. All proceeds benefit the NOBLE NVC Scholarship Program.
Law and Your Community
The Law and Your Community manages an educational program designed for youth ages 13–18. The program focuses on improving communication and interactions between young people and law enforcement officers while enhancing participants’ understanding of local, state, and federal laws. The initiative supports NOBLE NVC’s broader mission of community education and engagement.
Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee coordinates the awarding of scholarships to college-bound high school seniors and current college students. Applicants must submit an essay addressing topics established by the committee. The committee oversees the application process, review, and selection to ensure scholarships are awarded fairly and aligned with NOBLE NVC’s mission.
